Accessories can make a mountain home warm and distinctive without turning it into a rustic stage set. The principle is simple: choose a few useful objects, honest materials and colours already present in the room. 1. A throw with visible texture
Wool, wool blends or easy-care fibres add depth to a sofa or bed. Choose a natural shade and a tactile weave that works with the textiles already in the room.
2. Cushions in two or three sizes
A neutral base, a discreet pattern and one accent colour are enough. Do not cover the whole seat: comfort comes before the photograph.
3. A wooden or dark-metal tray
